Dothan independent outdoor lifestyle retailer owner/CEO joins Retail Association board

Mark Anderson, owner and chief executive officer of Eagle Eye Outfitters in Dothan, has been elected to the Alabama Retail Association’s board of directors. His two-year term begins Jan. 1.

Anderson and his wife, Susan, opened Eagle Eye in 1999 and have grown the footprint of the independent outdoor lifestyle retailer from 2,500 to 45,000 square feet. The store employs 95.

With an associate’s degree from Enterprise State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Troy University Dothan, Anderson began his retail career as a store manager for a Dothan western and work wear company. His prior experience also includes a two-year stint as a national sales manager for a racing apparel company.

He is a board member of the Grassroot Outdoor Alliance (GOA), which is dedicated to the growth of the specialty outdoor retail industry.

Eagle Eye Outfitters, a 2016 Alabama Retailer of the Year,  has been an Alabama Retail Association member since 2020.

“The Alabama Retail Association gives me a way to communicate my thoughts and opinions on how to grow the retail industry in our state so that it can be successful for generations to come,” said Mark.

The Andersons are the parents of two daughters and live in Dothan.
