All new hires must fill out the latest Form I-9 the first day they are on the job.
Starting Sunday, Jan. 22, employers must use the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification dated 11/14/2016. That version should be completed for new hires and any existing employees who require reverification for their authorization after that date.
Even if you only employ one person, this document must be kept on file.
You can find the new form and other I-9 information on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website at https://www.uscis.gov/i-9
