Dear Alabama Retailer,

As a retailer in Alabama, you are instrumental in creating jobs, facilitating consumer spending and returning Alabama to economic prosperity. As you grow your business, you in turn strengthen the State’s economy. I understand that in order to return Alabama to prosperity, businesses will need the support of their elected officials. You have my full support.

It is my intention to provide you with the legal tools you need to run a successful business and protect your business against fraud, shoplifting and other crimes. As your Attorney General, I will do everything in my power to support Alabama’s retailers by supporting effective laws for crimes against retail establishments.

Those who steal from Alabama’s businesses should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I will work with you and with Alabama’s District Attorneys to prosecute those who steal from retailers and those who defraud retailers and consumers.
