Mandy Henry, owner of Queen City Market in Selma, has been elected to the Alabama Retail Association’s board of directors. Her two-year term began Jan. 1.
Home décor and furnishings occupy one side of Queen City Market’s two connecting buildings in downtown Selma with apparel and accessories next door. Henry founded the business in 2015. Queen City Market has been an Alabama Retail Association member since 2019.
Henry, a Selma native, is also a real estate agent and developer and a licensed home builder specializing in renovations. She owns Mandy Henry Properties LLC, Mandy Henry Designs and Construction LLC and is an associate broker with REMAX Tri Star.
The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce honored Henry with its 2021 Woman of Business Award.
She holds a 2002 bachelor’s degree in communications and information sciences from the University of Alabama.
“The Alabama Retail Association works on behalf of the retailers in our state, making sure that lawmakers know what is needed for successful business in Alabama,” said Henry. “They also keep us up to date on changes happening in our state and in our industry.”
Henry, her husband and their daughter live in Selma.
