Alabama Small Business Development Center Network offers webinar on forgivable COVID-19 loans and more

The Alabama Small Business Development Center Network conducted webinars last week that covered:

  • the updated process for applying for the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan;
  • the $10,000 forgivable advance;
  • and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) under the CARES Act, forgivable loans* for which some lenders began processing applications on Friday, April 3.

The Alabama SBDC Network may ask for information about your business to access this and its other webinars. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) administers the nationwide SBDC program. Alabama’s program is governed by an executive state director and 10 participating organizations within the state.

*“Forgiveness is based on the employer maintaining or quickly rehiring employees and maintaining salary levels. Forgiveness will be reduced if full-time headcount declines, or if salaries and wages decrease,” according to the SBA
