Retailer of the Year Entry Form

Congratulations on being nominated for the 2025 Alabama Retailer of the Year Award. To move forward in the selection process, we invite you to complete the application below by June 27, 2025. The information provided in your application will be reviewed by a panel of judges and will serve as the primary basis for selecting the honorees.

2025 Retailer of the Year Entry Form

  • General Business Information

  • To qualify for a Retailer of the Year award, you must have been in business for a minimum of five years. Any entry that has been in business for more than two years, but less than five years, will be considered for the Gee Emerging Retailer of the Year.

  • You can provide a link to an online list if your locations are too numerous to list.

  • Questions and Document Uploads

  • Describe the role you play in the local economy. (i.e. economic development, job creation, revitalization, consumer needs, community service, etc.)
  • Describe any results and strategies implemented to expand the scope of your business. (i.e. additional stores, increased or expanded departments, broader product lines, etc.)
  • Describe any innovations you have implemented in operations, marketing, customer service, technology or merchandising.
  • Describe any strategies concerning the sales and profit performance of your company that improved business results.
  • Describe any marketing campaigns, initiatives, or digital tools used to grow your business.
  • Describe any efforts you have employed to promote retailing as a profession or as an industry? (Can include speaking engagements, media interviews, hiring interns, etc.)
